OCEANSCAN EFG ROV CP BOTTLE

OCEANSCAN EFG ROV CP BOTTLE

The Oceanscan EFG ROV bottle is an innovative product, designed and built inhouse, that combines a traditional silver/silver chloride half cells into our bespoke probe and interfaced with modern day digital electronics. Unlike conventional CP systems, the EFG digitises the analogue voltage and transmits the data to the surface via a spare twisted pair in the ROV umbilical or via a data multiplexer. Much the same as our Dual CP ROV bottle system.

The EFG probe has two half cells built into the probe at a distance of 150cm apart. The system allows the user to configure the probe so it can be used simultaneously as a contact and proximity probe (Proximity probe must be earthed to the structure under test.) EFG probe is supplied with 5m of cable. To help obtain the correct field gradient, we supply a remote probe with 30m of cable. Which gives you the option of connecting direct to the ROV bottle or via the surface. The subsea housing contains the conversion electronics and is depth rated to 1000m. RS232/RS485 data is simultaneously available from the EFG ROV bottle.

Run Probes Simultaneously

New EFG ROV CP software v2 allows you to run calibration/verification through the ROV bottle. By connecting a K series reference cell direct to the MCBH-2F on the bottle.

On the surface, the data is displayed using a simple Windows platform through Oceanscan’s user friendly software. Probe inputs can be displayed and logged at the same time with the option of the pipeline calculation. The option to output a data string to an external data logger or overlay device is also available.
