OCEANSCAN VS3003 DIGITAL STILLS C/W FLASH & LAPTOP PC

Oceanscan Limited and ECA Hytec, who for 20 years have pioneered subsea imaging, have developed the latest underwater video systems for the offshore oil and gas, defence and scientific markets. With the introduction of the VSPN 3003 High Resolution, Colour, Digital Still Camera, Oceanscan and ECA Hytec bring to the marketplace the latest innovation in underwater imaging, transmission and remote technology which is fully compatible with existing camera installations. The VSPN 3003 offers unparalleled performance together with the industry’s second-to-none, worldwide technical support.

The VSPN 3003 uses a vehicle’s transmission system. It combines the functions of a colour video camera with those of a high resolution (7Mp) camera, has a x3 optical zoom and is operated via user-friendly software. A connector on the camera provides power and a synchronised signal for the flash unit.

The surface operator receives video images on a PC in real time and selects the images required to be captured as still photographs which are stored in the camera’s built-in memory. When the operation is over and the camera is back to the surface, images are downloaded to the PC. The very high resolution of the images allows a strong zoom-in facility. Images can then be transferred directly to an inspection report, transmitted via the internet or filed on a CDROM.
