Base Engineer
Oceanscan Limited, a leading equipment rental supplier to the NDT, ROV, industries, has an immediate requirement for a Base Engineer to join its Aberdeen team.
Responsibilities will include:
- The maintenance, servicing and calibration of NDT instrumentation in accordance with manufacturers guidelines or the appropriate recognized standard
- The maintenance, servicing and testing of survey equipment, for applicable products
- Updating and maintaining goods-in and dispatch records
- Completing all outgoing quality assurance checks prior to dispatch
- Creation of delivery notes
- Offering first line Technical Support to clients
- Operation of warehouse forklift apparatus
Qualifications required:
- Minimum requirement of ONC in electronics or similar recognized qualification
- Air Freight Safety registration – Level D
- CRB Validation required (revalidation every 5 years)
Candidates should have a formal qualification in electronics (minimum ONC) and have at least 2 years experience of testing and repairing electronic equipment to component level.
Knowledge of survey, ROV and inspection equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
